The InterContinental Abu Dhabi is an IHG
flagship property in Abu Dhabi and is a prominent landmark on the corniche
located in a commanding beachfront setting.  It features 390 guest rooms
and suites, highly acclaimed food and beverage outlets and elegant meeting
rooms and banquet facilities.



 
We are currently seeking to hire a dynamic Engineering Secretary to
join our Engineering Team. 



  



Some key
responsibilities of the role include:



  • Takes dictation and transcribes notes. Composes and type reports,
    memos and routine correspondence as directed by the engineering of his
    delegate.

  • Responsible for taking minutes of meetings, typing and distribution
    of same.

  • Prepares stationery requirements / requisitions and keeps control
    of all stationery.

  • Responsible for maintaining trace file, follow up file and arrange
    appointments, telephone calls for the Chief Engineer.

  • Responsible for maintaining an updated filing system in the
    engineering department.

  • Assists the Chief Engineer by preparing / consolidating various
    engineering reports as and when required.

  • Prepares / consolidates reports related to the environmental matter
    for the Middle East region.

  • Prepares maintenance order analysis report on a weekly basis.

  • Responsible for keeping the office space clean and tidy at all
    times.

  • Complies with the hotel’s health, safety and hygiene policy.

  • Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.


  • Ideally,
    you will have 2 years of experience in a similar role in a 4 or 5 stars hotel.  You need to be people oriented and highly
    passionate about your job with a great level of confidence towards medical
    judgments.  Good English communication
    skills are essential.
