Our client is managing one of the leading Internationally branded Corporate properties in West Africa and is now looking for a dynamic Chief Engineer to oversee the entire maintenance operation. The Hotel has over 250 rooms, multiple Food & Beverage outlets and extensive on-site meeting facilities.

The Chief Engineer will be responsible for management of all interior and exterior facilities including mechanical and electrical equipment, air-conditioning and ventilation systems, refrigeration, plumbing, hot water systems, overall structure and all fire, life and safety systems as well as landscaping.

Requirements :

  • Prior experience on the African continent is a distinct advantage Applicants must have held a similar position in an international standard five star Hotel for at least three years Must be formally qualified and an excellent ‘all-rounder’ in his field with superior electrical and air conditioning/refrigeration knowledge Must be comfortable managing in a multicultural environment and display a ‘can do’ attitude The Chief Engineer will be an important member of the ExComm team and will be expected to assist guests where necessary therefore must be well groomed and an excellent communicator Will be expected to take on  Duty Management shifts as and when needed Technically proficient and implementing preventive maintenance programs Handling all safety procedures and facility support services Superb organizational skills Proactive, pleasant personality, great team player Exceptional crisis management skills Exceptional administration skills with a proactive approach to tasks Constricted cost controller and able to adhere to budgets and present timely reports
