Opening early next year, this hotel will be eptomise the understated luxury that this brand is globally recognised by. With around 200 rooms and suites, the hotel’s design complements local culture with international flair. Based in a key regenerated heart of this leading Middle East city, it is an exciting time to join the hotel and be part of a well-respected quality, global 5* company.
As such, the client is looking for a very marketing orientated person to lead the pre>opening of the hotel. Joining the newly appointed GM, they will work closely aligning the company’s brand message over the next vital few months as well as being actively involved in the recruiting of the sales & marketing team. By recruiting specialist people to manage the day-to-day sales side and luxury sales, especially from within the GCC, this will enable the DOSM to focus on the marketing and overall strategy.
Whilst Middle East experience would be highly advantageous it is not essential. It is more about finding the right person with the pre-requisite marketing skills who understands the brand and can drive the appropriate sales and marketing activities. As such this will appeal to someone who has city/city-resort hotel sales & marketing experience, but may also have had a marketing background previously and/or stepped out of the standard “hotel box” path. They will be ambitious, open to exploring a new destination and with luxury brand experience. They will have had international work experience or travelled extensively working within in an international brand which will ideally having been based in Europe, UK, Australia or North America.
The client is offering a competitive salary and family status: the location is safe and well established for families with a good ex-pat community. The GM has recently moved from within the Middle East and has settled very easily there.
