Job Description

Are you an energetic, guest service oriented individual who can be Responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of all Engineering personnel?

About the Job:

1. Following up the preventive maintenance programs
• Briefing the staff of equipment manufacturer instructions
• Assuring the availability of replacement parts
• Assuring the availability of needed materials
• Distributing the working sheets to the assigned technician
• Communicating the departments for work organization
• Observing the execution and work completion
• Reporting of any unexecuted programmed works
• Reporting the executed sheets to the Chief Engineer for filling

2. Communication between the department and you
• Briefing the daily meeting with the Chief Engineer to the staff
• Transferring Chief Engineer instructions
• Feedback of staff response
• Feedback of staff sticking to policies and procedures
• Recommending staff rewarding or promoting
• Contributing in team work and individuals satisfaction

3. Observing the repair work
• Daily checking of maintenance requests by other dept.
• Daily checking of Asst. manager and MOD log books
• Daily communication of F&B dept. for required repairs
• Work assignments to concerned to concerned technicians
• Observing the executions and checking completion
• Checking stocks levels of spare parts

4 Handling staff matters and work schedule
• Daily tasks briefing and attendance checking
• Preparing weekly shifts schedule
• Applying staff vacations according to the annual vacation plan
• Organizing the overtime jobs and registering
• Recommending rewarding and promoting (positive stroke)
• Warning, recommending punishment (negative stroke)
• Analyzing negative performance and correction
• Concern to personal life

5. Attending all meetings as requested by the Director of Engineer
• Revising with the chief engineer of previous meetings
• Discussing with the chief engineer the matters to be raised
• Raising any engineering recommendations in meetings
• After meeting discussion with the chief engineer
• Scheduling and executing requested tasks through meetings
• Utilizing meetings as good feed back

6. Communicating with other dept.’s
• Creating good communication channel
• Daily communication with the F&B dept.
• On the spot advising of proper equipment handling by dept.’s
• Requesting cross-training if seems necessary
• Organizing implementation of preventive maintenance
• Reporting the chief engineer of any nisus for action

7. Observing the outside contracts performance
• Continuous checking of the outside contractors plan
• Accordingly contacting concerned contractors
• Advising contractors of any observed problem
• Checking with contractors parts stocks situation
• Observing with contractors performance qualities
• Informing the chief engineer of any remarks for action
• Considering any recommendations of contractors
• Assuring the contractors staff sticking to policies

8. Replacing the Director of Engineer during his absence
• Discussing all pending items for action
• Discussing all last meetings for action
• Receiving the chief engineer pre-vacation instructions
• Discussing matters to be finalized
• Discussing matter to be postponed
• Consulting the chief engineer for urgent matters if available
• Preparing a full report upon chief engineer return

9. Performs other duties as may be assigned.

Requirements

About You:

Minimum of 3-Years’ Experience as an Engineering Supervisor or Equivalent in 5 Star Hotels
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
Intermediate Knowledge of Building Operation & Maintenance
Ability to work and communicate in a multinational environment and Confident Self Motivated
