Nassima Royal Hotel Dubai is the ideal destination for business and leisure luxury hospitality. Built to inspire modernity, style and luxury, this five-star hotel, stands elegantly on a 51 storey slick glass tower on the prominent Sheikh Zayed Road, in the heart of cosmopolitan Dubai.
Doorman will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
1.Attend review of daily event sheet with Bell Captain and be familiar with all VIPs.
2.Be knowledgeable about hotel facilities, updated on activities, promotions and happenings in the hotel/city to provide accurate information.
3.Welcome guests and assist in/out of vehicles by opening doors in a gracious and courteous manner. Extend particular assistance to children, elderly and disabled.
4.Inform guests of vehicle parking procedures, if necessary, and direct Valet Parkers accordingly. Assist Valet Parkers in issuing valet ticket to guests.
5.Direct flow of traffic at hotel driveways ensuring maximum safety. Coordinate with security for the strict implementation of safety procedures.
6.Handle guests’ luggage promptly and professionally, using safe handling techniques.
7.Deputize for Bell Attendant when necessary in retrieving/loading guest items from cars, busses, vans and carts. Grasp, lift, carry and/or load luggage and packages onto a bell cart to transport items to hotel lobby.
8.Ensure that all luggage are retrieved and loaded/unloaded on to/from correct vehicle with guest. Always re-confirm with guests that correct number of luggage had been loaded/unloaded before allowing the vehicle to move.
9.Require physical stamina to stand, lift, carry and walk continuously during shift.
10.Take endorsement from previous shift and follow up on any outstanding matters. Ensure that matters needing follow-up are endorsed to succeeding shift.
11.Respond to queries positively. Listen carefully, apologize for the problem and offer assistance to resolve it. If after offering alternatives, the problem has not been resolved to the guest’s satisfaction, obtain assistance from a supervisor or manager.
12.Ensure that hotel’s policy relating to fire, grooming, hygiene, health, safety, rules and regulations are understood and adhered to.
13.To report “Lost & Found” items.
•Similar experience needed in a 5 star luxury hotel chain
•High School Graduate or Diploma in Hospitality Management or any Front Office Training Certification
•Can work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
•Enjoy working with a multi-cultural team and hotel guests
•Excellent Guest Relation Skills
•Attention to Detail
•Excellent command of English language, both spoken and written
•Multiple language ability is considered as additional advantage
