Metropolitan Hotel Dubai is looking for a Steward, who's responsible for day to day cleaning and maintaining Food and Beverage work areas, materials and equipment. Interacts and cooperates with other members of the kitchen as appropriate, and to perform the duties and responsibilities as follows;

  • Washes, scrubs and maintains kitchen and related walls and floor.
  • Control of waste, storage and breakages of kitchen and back of house areas.
  • Operates dishwashing machine to manufacturer’s specifications and instructions.
  • Follows emergency procedures.
  • Washes and scrubs pots and pans used in the kitchen
  • Accomplish the overnight deep cleaning program of the kitchens as assigned
  • To follow the schedule cleaning of walk-in fridge, silver ware, cutting board       
  • Complies with hotel’s health and safety policy
  • Performs related duties and special task and projects as assigned
  • Adopts the “clear as you go method of work.
  • Arranges chinaware, silverware and glassware in storerooms and shelves.
  • Complies with hygiene and sanitation standards and procedures
  • Follows staff discipline procedures.
  • Establishes and maintains effective employee relations.
  • Performs other duties assigned by supervisor
  • Attends daily briefing.
  • Reports to work well groomed.
