SCOPE OF THE ROLE  

  • To play a key role in initiating and planning the operational objectives for hotel and ensuring they are successfully achieved and / or surpassed within the agreed timescales.

  • To establish and ensure Brand Consistency and effectiveness in all aspects.

  • To provide leadership and management guidance that will focus upon the day to day business operations and ensure maximum financial performance and guest and Associate Engagement.

  • To ensure the Brand is implemented as part of the EMAAR Hospitality Group Mission of being an employer of choice and coach and assist Business Leaders to maximise the talent potential of all Associates working with them.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for ensuring the effective operational performance of the hotel through effective leadership and balanced control.
  • Responsible for the implementation and effectiveness of all internal business practices and processes.
  • Review all financial statements for areas under scope of responsibility in order to maximise business performance, identify exceptions and implement plans to address any areas of concern. Partner with the sales and marketing activities for the hotel in partnership with the General Manager & Group Director of Sales and Marketing to support key activities whilst ensuring strict compliance with the company standards at all times.
  • Create maintain and implement the highest guest service charter and service standards at all times.
  • Ensure a key focus on quality and consistency is achieved across the business in every guest experience.
  • Accountable for ensuring the implementation of SOP’s for all practices, procedures and policies across all business units in the division.
  • Understand and enhance the touch points of our business and drive for continuous improvement.
  • Accountable for the delivery of operational projects within set time scales.
  • Assist the GM with the overall operations of the hotel to ensure that the identified / planned projects are executed and marketed on time and within the budget.
  • Keep all relevant people informed of progress made against project deadlines and Business KPI’s.
  • Ensure all MBO’s and KPI’s for the departments under scope of responsibility are achieved within the agreed timescales.

QUALIFICATION

  • Qualified through extensive experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Work experience as a Hotel Manager at mid market hotels.

  • University of a business relevant degree and or MBA graduate.
