One of the world’s leading Hotel Groups is proud to be opening one of the Middle East’s top Ultra-luxury Hotel properties. They are seeking a Director of Catering to join their team and help establish a strong reputation in the region for unparalleled service and quality. The Director of Catering will be responsible for the management of all aspects of the Catering department in accordance with company, brand standards and guest expectations.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control financial and administrative responsibilities including asset protection
  • Ensure the highest level of service by training and developing staff and executing the requirements of events based on company standards and guest expectations
  • Actively solicit new business and respond to inquiries with the intention of confirming profitable catering business and achieving Quarterly/Yearly Sales Goals
  • Regularly consult with the Director of Food & Beverage and Executive Chef to continually improve our product and services and to prepare menus which will attract business and yield strong profits
  • Coordinate the sales efforts between sales department and catering to insure proper utilization of function space to yield maximum revenues
  • Identify customer needs and all sales opportunities to ensure on-going successful events
  • Lead a team that takes responsibility for the co-ordination and monitoring of all meetings, from initial booking where possible through to post-conference evaluation and account settlement
  • Conduct pre – and post event briefings and communicate any comments relevant to the specific events to all Departments concerned to improve shortfalls, if any, within the operation.
  • Maintain a high level of service by constantly training and coaching all direct reports and staff
  • Provide regular and constructive coaching, training, and mentoring to employees
  • Provide a motivating and productive work environment to your teams

Expectations & Requirements

  • Female Candidate
  • Arabic and English fluency is required
  • Single Status is preferred
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a Management role in Banqueting and Catering
  • Minimum three years’ experience with a luxury or ultra-luxury property
  • High level of creativity but also strong Attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and make decisions in a fast paced client driven environment
  • Demonstrate personal integrity, manage time well, and be highly visible in all areas of responsibility

  • Base Salary will be negotiated as per each candidate’s professional experiences
