Summary of Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Support the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef in the daily operation
  • Work according to the menu specifications by the Chef de Partie
  • Ensure that high quality, creativity, freshness and preparation according to set standards is given at all times
  • Follow at all times standard recipes and plate presentations in order to maintain set standards of quality in production and presentation
  • Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation
  • Keep up to date with new products, recipes and preparation techniques
  • Take part in set up of buffets and special functions
  • Maintain cleanliness in all assigned areas, including refrigerators and freezers
  • Observe and tests all food being cooked
  • Attend all HAACP related training sessions and follow rules and regulations
  • Report any equipment on the section which needs to be repaired or maintained
  • Be familiar with local food hygiene and HACCP guidelines as per Dubai Municipality
