About the Role

An exciting role has arisen in the Guest Relations department at Jumeirah Beach Hotel for a highly motivated and hardworking individual. The main purpose of this position is to be the main point of contact for the guests upon arrival until their departure and to handle all enquiries throughout their stay in a friendly and effective manner always striving to exceed expectations and keeping in mind ‘Everything Considered'.

Your main duties will include the following:

  • To be present in the lobby in order to welcome all guests upon their arrival to the hotel

  • To make sure that each and every guest is welcomed with cold/hot towel and welcome drink on arrival

  • To be aware of all functions and special promotions in the hotel and sister properties

  • To escort and provide correct directions to all internal and external guests 

  • To make sure that we have enough cold/ hot towels and welcome drinks for the smooth operation

  • To maintain back area clean and tidy (as per HASAP) at all the time

  • Assist guests with general inquiries about the hotel and its facilities, as well as daily events and functions.

  • To assist Other Hotel Front office Operation (Club Executive/Premium Leisure) whenever required.

  • To attend trainings as per the department training plan.

  • To assist department objective in order to achieve targets (Sirius/ Up selling etc.)

  • To be ready to work willingly to any assignment given.

  •  Check Arrivals list for the following day, liaise with Rooms Controller to allocate rooms for VIP guests and guests with special requests.

  • Order and ensure timely delivery of amenities for all arrival and in-house VIP and Suite guests.

  • Inspect the rooms of all VIP and Suite guests prior to their arrival at the hotel.

  • Cover shifts on Lobby Duty in accordance with duty roster, these duties will include the welcoming and rooming of arriving VIP and Suite guests. Ensure Lobby Management at all time and welcome to all guests to the hotel.

  • Conduct an In room check in for VIP and Suite guests.

  • Attend to special requests made by VIP and Suite guests prior to, during or after their stay.

  • Print and action Guest Relation trace report.

  • Escort arriving guests to their rooms whenever possible after the registration procedure has been completed at the Front Desk or at the EC / PLC reception.

  • To conduct  courtesy calls to VIPs and Suite guests

  • Assist with group registration when required

  • To arrange special amenities as per guest request (Flowers, cakes, balloons, honeymoon set up)

 Administrational

  • Prepare VIP guests list for next day’s arrival.

  • Prepare the daily guest amenity list and distribute it to the respective department.

  • Check the previous night’s no shows and pull out amenities accordingly.

  • Prepare and distribute the daily guest feedback report.

  • Prepare and distribute the daily guest amenity list.

  • Updates and maintains all Guest History Files.

  • Prepare welcome letters for all VIP guests

  • Prepare special guest letters (i.e. Birthday, Anniversary, Honeymoon)

  • Prepare special guest list and invitations for GM cocktail reception.

  • Reply to the guests’ emails

About You

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Graduates
  • Must speak German or Italian or Spanish language fluently 
  • Good written & spoken English communications skills

 

Experience:

  • Must have a minimum of two years experience in a guest relations job role in a 5 star hotels preferably in Front Office

 

Skills:

  •  Competent in Microsoft Office applications and Opera (Front Office Applications)
