At
the moment, we are looking for a Commis to join our enthusiastic, warm and
friendly Food & Beverage Kitchen team at Crowne Plaza Dubai.  



As a Commis, under
the instruction & direction of the Outlet Chef / Chef de Partie and within
the limits of the hotel policies and procedures, performs all his duties and
work given to him.



 
You
will work exactly according to standard recipes, the guidance and instructions
given from the supervisor, to ensure consistency and standards of the product.  You will work closely with the Chef de Partie
to determine quality and quantity of food materials used with a view of
eliminating waste and spoilage.  You will
assist the Demi Chef and team in the preparation and handling of food in the
section, you will assist other cooks and sharing the work load in the section.



 
You
will assist in preparation of all food items and helps to run the station you
are assigned to efficiently.  You will
have knowledge of the menu, the food items and goods handled in your area,
ensure that set-ups (mise en place) is ready on time and sufficient, according
the instructions of the Chef De Partie. 
You will ensure constantly maintaining a high standard of food
preparation and follow the rules and regulations of hygiene and sanitation in
the section.  You will make every attempt
to prevent the damage or loss of hotel property and equipment’s.  You will maintain equipment, utensils and your
working area in a constantly clean and sanitary condition, report any damage to
your supervisor.  You will keep the
fridge clean and check your area thoroughly to avoid spoilage or contamination
of food item.



 
 
 
Preferred
candidate will have a degree or certificate in culinary arts and two years of
working experience, knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen sanitation.  Has good command of English language, responsible
& reliable, ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a
team, ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment, ability
to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
