The InterContinental Abu Dhabi is an IHG flag
ship property in Abu Dhabi and is a prominent landmark on the Corniche, located
in a commanding beachfront setting. It features 390 guest rooms and suites, has
highly acclaimed food and beverage outlets and elegant meeting rooms and
banquet facilities.



 



We are currently seeking to
hire a Revenue Manager to conduct
vigilant and appropriate yield management and influence other revenue
generating departments.  Contribute
towards revenue generation through effective management of the reservations
department.  Able to effectively exercise
impact, influence and collaboration with colleagues on all levels in the
organization, building strong working relationships which ensure that all
sections of the business are aligned to support the agreed tactical and
strategic approaches and objectives.



 



Other Responsibilities
includes:

  • Ensure the team
    is fully aware and comply with up selling techniques to maximize revenue
  • Provides
    technical support to Reservations and Front Office on up-selling and
    negotiating techniques
  • Load and maintain
    rates on both Holidex and Opera, manage PERFORM and extranets
  • Fully aware of
    system recovery procedures (Interfaces between PMS & Holidex) and ensure
    that the team is fully aware of manual reservations in case of an unforeseen
    event of system break down or system maintenance
  • Manages on daily basis
    hotel’s inventory and pricing in all channels (CRO, GDS and Internet). Ensure
    compliance with the Best Price Guarantee
  • Prepares for
    weekly yield and revenue meeting with reports and suggestions to maximize
    revenue
  • Work within the
    company’s Human Resource Management System to ensure the departmental
    performance of staff is productive. Ensure that reservation telephones are
    attended at all times during scheduled hours and the team is complying with the
    set standards of salutations and telephone etiquette
  • Ensure that
    quality of reservation is maintained in terms of guest details, rates, payment
    methods etc
  • Ensure that the
    minimum response time is maintained for all reservation requests,   as well as instantaneously updating those to
    PMS



Ideally you'll have a Bachelor's degree in Hotel or
Hospitality Management (or equivalent), with at least two (2) years experience
as a department head in a hotel team. Ultimately, you have excellent
interpersonal and leadership skills, proficient skills for written and oral communication in
English and a desire and the ability to travel and work in different
countries.  The right candidate portrays a professional image at
all times and posses strong multi tasking and admin skills.
