General Description:
The Receptionist is responsible for creating a welcoming, gracious and professional first impression to the guest. The Receptionist assists customers with reservation bookings and general enquiries, in person and by telephone.

Job Description: 

1. Greet and acknowledge all guests coming into the restaurant in a friendly, professional and gracious             manner.
2. Answer all telephone calls in a timely manner and address guest queries regarding reservations.
3. Responsible for the consistent cleanliness and presentation of the reception desk.
4. Conduct general cloakroom duties.
5. Responsible for the suitable allocation of tables to guests as required.
6. Escort guests to their allocated table or to the bar.
7. Clean menus before and after service; Ensure all menus in circulation are in acceptable condition.
8. Responsible for the satisfaction of all guests regarding first impressions, reservation bookings and               concierge-related enquiries.
9. Report all issues or complaints to the Captain Receptionist.
10. Assist the Captain Receptionist as required.
11. Follow all instructions as directed by management.
12. Operate in accordance with SOP at all times.
13. Attend scheduled training sessions and team meetings as requested by management.
14. Be fully aware of the licensing regulations and abide by these rules.
15. Be fully aware of fire and safety regulations.
16. Always take initiative to help others.
17. Demonstrate good knowledge of the restaurant and products available to the guest.
18. Demonstrate a basic knowledge of useful concierge advice.
19. Be aware of table statuses within the dining room.
20.Report all special requests (birthday cakes etc.) to the Captain Waiter.
21. Update customer profile data on the client database as required.
