The Chef De Partie is responsible for running the day to day operation of a specific section in the kitchen. In this role you will manage a small team of Demi Chefs and Commis in the Hub Lounges. You are responsible in organizing the meals and maintaining the cleanliness of the work area. You will oversee the food preparation and presentation in the Lounges while enforcing strict health and hygiene standards in the kitchen and troubleshooting any problems that may arise. You will ensure the high quality, suitability, flavour, appearance and safety standards of all food items leaving the production area.
In addition, you will assist the Sous Chef in preparing menu orders with emphasis on increasing brand values at all times. You will assist in stock taking when required and compile all food orders for section under your supervision, ensuring food standards are checked and maintained in line with company policies and standards.
You have High School Diploma with minimum of 2 years of job related experience in 5-star Hotels/Lounges. Culinary certificate/diploma/degree is an added advantage. You are well-trained with the Culinary Service techniques from reputed hotels and restaurants.
You are knowledgeable about the culinary functions in general. You are organised and comfortable working in a high-pressure environment. You demonstrate at all times the importance of upholding the highest personal and professional standard and have positive and passionate attitude towards the customers. You are a team player with a positive outlook and a keen eye for details. You have well-developed social skills, able to handle all type of people and situation and have high level of versatility and flexibility to meet the varied needs and expectations of customers.
