Holiday Inn Kuwait, part of InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), comprised of 298 spacious rooms and suites, is located in the heart of Salmiya, one of Kuwait's main areas. As a Guest Relations Officer,  you will be responsible in ensuring maximum guest satisfaction through personal recognition and prompt cordial attention from in house guest and walk in & referrals. Under the guidance and direction of the Health club you will be knowledgeable of all special promotion procedures, for programs such as: Seasonal Packages & Frequent Flyers Programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities –



·         Be knowledgeable about all hotel facilities in order to promote and sell them to guests

·         Apply correct charges to guests and visitors where applicable for use of pool, spa and gym, and post to room bill in accordance with procedure 

·         Ensure only qualified persons such as in-house guests, members and guests who paid the entrance fee are allowed to use

·         Handle basic billing procedures such as miscellaneous charges for sports when requested

·         Perform tasks as directed by the Manager in pursuit of the achievement of business goals


·         Liaise with inter-facing departments such as Laundry, Housekeeping and Engineering to provide great service.

·         Pages staff member when requested

·         Report repairs and maintenance problems to supervisor

·         Familiarize yourself with facilities, activities, equipment, services and other pertinent information in order to provide guest with accurate information

·         Follow hotel procedures in relation to pool towel issue and retrieval



·         Calls guests by name whenever possible

·         Provide prompt, efficient and courteous services to guests, members and visitors

·         Abides by principles of guest privacy

·         Handles guests needs or requests and reports complaints to the supervisor

·         Attends to all guest queries and requests promptly

·         Conduct activities and services for guest, members and registered children while giving proper instruction and safety reminders

·         Greet and escort guests to lounge chairs and present towels

·         Demonstrate service attributes in accordance with industry expectations and company standards including:

§  Being attentive to Guests

§  Accurately and promptly fulfilling Guests requests

§  Anticipate Guests needs

§  Maintain a high level of knowledge which affects the Guest experience

§  Demonstrating a ‘service’ attitude

§  Taking appropriate action to resolve guest complaints

·         Appreciate the dynamic nature of the Hotel industry and extend these service attributes to all internal customers


·         Maintain Health Club facilities according to set standards of order and cleanliness

·         Process all incoming and outgoing calls accurately and courteously

·         Records all entries on traffic sheets

·         Strictly abides by standards policies and procedures governing cases of emergency related Health & Safety,  fire, bomb scare and other critical situations

·         Maintains a clean work environment

·         Maintain current Hotel Information

·         Ensure guests amenities, towels, linen and other guests needs have ample supply

·         Maintain responsibility for cleanliness of exercise rooms, garden areas and tennis courts

·     Preferably with a University degree

·     At least two years related experience

·     Excellent English skill, both oral and written

·     Proficient in computer operations (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

·     Can communicate, read & write Arabic is an added advantage

·     Presentable and a team player
