We currently have a vacancy for a Commi-I of Cold Kitchen at Holiday Inn Muscat Al Seeb Hotel!

 As Commis I you will be reporting directly to the Kitchen
In-charge and below are some of the key responsibilities:

1.     Produces food of high quality according to standard recipes
2.     Assist with the preparation, presentation, decoration and storage of the following dishes:
    Buffet FoodPreparationStorageA la carte orders

3.     Provides direction to the Kitchen helpers, including Commis ll and lll, Kitchen Attendants and Stewards

4.     Communicate to his/her superior any difficulties, guest or internal customer comment andother relevant information 

5.     Attend and participates in daily briefings and other meetings as scheduled.
6.     Prepare in advance food, beverage, material and equipment needed for the service.
7.     Clean and re-sets his/her working area.
8.     Comply with all HACCP requirements and procedures as per Haccp Manual
1. Comply with Hotel Rules and Regulations and provisions contained in the Employment Handbook.
 2. Comply with Company Grooming Standards.
 3. Comply with Time and Attendance Policies.
 4. Actively participate in training and development programs and maximize opportunities for self development   

1. Demonstrate service attributes in accordance with industry expectations and company standards including:
Being attentive to Guests
Accurately and promptly fulfilling Guestsrequests
Anticipate Guests needs
Maintain a high level of knowledge which affectsthe Guest experience
Demonstrating a ‘service’ attitude
Takingappropriate action to resolve guest complaints

2. Appreciate the dynamic nature of the Hotel industry and extend these service attributes toall internal customers


Demonstrate an understanding and an awareness of all polices and procedures relating to Health, Hygiene and Fire Safety.Familiarize yourself with emergency and evacuating procedures.Ensure all security incidents, accidents and near misses are always logged in a timely manner and brought to the attention of your line manager.GENERAL
Comply with the Company’s Corporate Code of Conduct  Familiarize yourself with the company values and model desired behaviors  Perform tasks as directed by the Manager in pursuit of the achievement of business goals

Minimum high school or diplomain Hotel Managementor culinary arts, or related field plus 5+ years related experience. Mustspeak English.

This job requires ability toperformthe following:

• Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 25 pounds

• Standing and moving around the facility

• Handling objects

• Usea keyboard to generate various work-related documents
