The Chef de Partie supports the Chef de cuisine and sous chef in implementing and maintaining Kitchen Production standards which are cost effective and tailored to meet changing guest eating trends.

To guarantee success in this function, the ideal candidate must have a solid understanding of hospitality kitchen a la carte product, banquet product, and buffet product, must have also a very good understanding on costing.

MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working on several orders at once
  • Making sure their station is properly stocked with food and equipment
  • Creating food of the highest quality and to the standards of the executive chef
  • Fulfilling complex orders and requests
  • Coordinating with other stations on prioritization
  • Constantly keeping the station clean and sanitized
  • Managing and training subordinates, if there are any
  • Double checking plates to eliminate problems or complaints
  • Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of output from station
  • Turn out food from their station consistent and efficiently
  • Follows proper plate presentation procedures
  • Reports and tracks food waste or equipment issues to the chef de cuisine
  • Stores, rotates and handles products associated with station
  • Preps portions according to portion control standards
  • Understands and follows executive chef approved recipes
  • Remain calm, control the stress and provide a team player attitude
  • Follow Sofitel standards
  • Showing complete loyalty to Chef de cuisine and sous chef

REQUIREMENTS:

We are looking to appoint a Chef de Partie for the stunning 5* Sofitel Dubai Downtown who thrives in a high pressured and rewarding team environment and is looking for a career with a hospitality leader.

The ideal candidate will be a friendly, caring, dedicated individual with good cross cultural sensitivity and the willingness to put in an extra effort and time when required, as well as the passion to serve customers. You will work well under pressure in a fast paced environment and enjoy working with a multi-cultural team and guests alike, while possessing following additional competencies:

  • Previous experience in similar position within a 5* Hotel.
  • At least 1 year experience at same level.
  • Good command of English
