Responsible for the pressing, dry
cleaning and presentation of guests dry cleaning garments as well as hotel
furniture and fittings as required.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    1.     Prepares guest pressing and dry cleaning as requested in accordance with
    hotel presentation standards

    2.     Spot and dry clean all uniforms

    3.     Sort articles to be dry cleaned into categories and performs dry
    cleaning function including:

    o    Uses all dry cleaning

    o    Uses spotting boards

    o    Attends to pre-coating and

    4.     Sort articles for pressing into categories and performs pressing
    function including:

    o    Using pressing equipment

    o    Use appropriate chemicals
    when pressing

    5.     Maintain chemical supplies

    6.     Prepare requisitions for depleted supplies

    7.     Check guest items on receipt for damage and record any findings

    8.     Maintains dry cleaning equipment in good condition and ensures regular

    9.     Attends to outside customers and guests courteously, promptly while
    maximizing sales

    10.  Maintains working area and equipment in proper state of cleanliness and

    11.  Reports guest complaints to superior immediately

    12.  Complies with Hotel’s health, safety and hygiene policies and adheres to
    conduct personal grooming and hygiene standards

    13.  Attends meetings and training sessions as required

    14.  Complete other responsibilities as assigned


    1.     Comply with Hotel Rules and Regulations and
    provisions contained in the Employment Handbook 

    2.     Comply with Company Grooming Standards at all
    times to portray a professional image of self and the hotel.

    3.     Comply with Time and Attendance Policies set
    by the hotel.

    4.     Actively participate in training and
    development programs and maximize opportunities for self-development

    5.     Demonstrate understanding and awareness of
    all policies and procedures relating to Health, Hygiene and Fire Life Safety

    6.     Familiarize yourself with emergency and
    evacuation procedures

    7.     Ensure all security incidents, accidents and
    near misses are always logged in a timely manner and brought to the attention
    of the Line Manager

    8.     Comply with the Company’s Corporate Code of

    9.     Familiarize self with the company values
    (Great Hotels Guests Love) and model desired behaviors (Winning Ways, Room to
    be Yourself) and ways of working (IHG Wheel).

    10.  Perform all tasks as directed by the Manager
    in pursuit of the achievement of business goals
