Job Purpose:

Under the general guidance of the Director of Revenue, the Revenue Analyst will assist the DOR with essential administrative duties and fulfill reporting and analysis tasks. They will ensure that the Revenue Management strategies as defined by the team can be executed in an efficient and pro- active manner. They are accountable for assisting the team to maximize Hotel revenues. They will assist in the development and implementation of Mondrian Doha’s yield strategies whilst conducting primary and secondary research that will influence the Revenue Management team’s strategic direction.

Duties & Functions

  • Assisting the Director of Revenue in meeting and exceeding budgeted revenue expectations ensuring that Mondrian Doha’s REVPAR indexes are maintained/enhanced
  • Maintaining the integrity of Mondrian Doha’s Yield chain
  • Acting in accordance with the tenants of EDGE (MHG’s service quality program)
  • Assisting the DOR to prepare the daily, weekly and monthly reports by being the primary user of all related tasks
  • Learning and becoming proficient in MHG’s Revenue Management Tool Kit and Information systems especially IDEAS
  • Maintaining Mondrian Doha’s revenue management knowledge base
  • Assisting the Director of Revenue to maximize revenues by monitoring transient and group production and ensuring that an optimal guest mix is maintained
  • Assisting with the evaluation of group booking requests to ensure that the business is not displacing higher yielding revenue
  •  Assisting in the critical analysis of the impact of the revenue management strategies implemented for Mondrian Doha
  • Assisting in the monitoring / management of IDEAS
  • Assisting in the auditing of Mondrian Doha’s position in the GDS and other Distribution systems, ensuring that the Hotel’s position is consistent with its selling strategies
  •  Assisting the Revenue and Sales team in analyzing events / trends that may impact the destinations revenues
  •  Assisting with the deployment of revenue management strategies and tactics through multiple distribution channels
  • Ensure that rate parity is maintained across all distribution channels
  •  Attend all company sponsored Revenue Management training programs
  •  Attend internal weekly and monthly revenue outlook meetings
  •  Participation in MHG Revenue Management conference calls
  •  Develop personal understanding and knowledge of all Revenue Management related systems and Tools

Specific Job Knowledge & Skills:

  •  Honours Degree in Statistics, Business or Hotel Management
  •  One to two years in a revenue/reservations/sales position, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel
  •  Must express a keen interest in a RM career and possess technical aptitude with good analytical skills and understanding of financial statements and market data
  •  Enter and locate work related information using computers and/or point of sale systems
  •  Possess a gracious, friendly, and fun demeanor
  •  Ability to multitask, work in a fast paced environment and have a high level attention to detail and have a hands on approach
  •  Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  •  Maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments
  •  Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork
