Regional Revenue Manager

Our Regional Revenue Manager will strategically co-ordinate the revenue management process across all sites, with the aim of maximizing each site’s room revenue based on development of individual pricing strategy.  The role has a focus on analysis of demand drivers, forecasting, and maintenance of distribution channel integrity.

The key accountabilities / deliverables of the role are as outlined below:

RMS & Pricing Strategy

  • Provide structured market intelligence  to site GMs on pricing strategy based on maximisng Rev PAR and outperforming the comp set;
  • Implement and manage the company’s RMS – effectively communicate revenue management requirements with sites and manage comprehensive training programme
  • Optimise pricing strategy across all channels  - provide recommendations on rate, inventory and overbooking/sellout strategies
  • Develop annual room revenue budget and RPI goals for the year
  • Provide advice on group booking pace and pick-up
  • In conjunction with DOS, set and protect rates and review corporate and group selling seasonal strategy
  • Optimise account revenues, facilitate rate loading and audit the process to ensure able to be booked
  • Provide intelligence on rates for annual RFP process

Brand Optimisation

  • Partner with Director, Brand & Marketing to ensure online availability  and content integrity through online distribution channels
  • Analyse and make recommendations on promotional/package rates

Analysis & Reporting

  • Review and provide recommendations on business mix across sites
  • Analyse and optimize the sales mix in OTA channels
  • Review and report  on relevant market benchmarking data, including comp set and current market conditions
  • Analyse and report on revenue items such as no-shoes, early departures, room rate discrepancies
  • Manage external agency relationships /investments and measure return on those investments;
  • Lead integration of any future revenue systems requirements with appointed external agencies/providers

Revenue Management - general:

  • Administration of the RMS and creation and management of user profiles
  • Management of rate codes in the RMS;
  • Administration of  spend, quotes and invoices;
  • Provision of general revenue support to sites and regional team as appropriate;

Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Knowledge / Skills

  • Bachelor Degree in relevant discipline such as Business, Management or Marketing or equivalent.
  • Advanced MS Office skills across the suite
  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in a similar role
  • High level of knowledge and proven skills of all revenue processes, procedures and tools
  • Demonstrated ability to drive the revenue function at the senior level
  • Ability to self-manage, prioritise tasks and run small projects autonomously
  • Experience from working in an international environment
  • Experience with systems development
  • Demonstrated analytical skills gained from within a complex hospitality environment
  • Ability to adapt to a constantly changing, fast paced landscape
  • Well developed understanding of cross-systems linkage
  • Well developed verbal and interpersonal skills – frequent interaction with a broad range
