We are currently looking to recruit a Spa Receptionist to join our Recreation team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to clients, so that their experience is a memorable one: welcoming clients and guests into the spa, transferring calls, taking accurate messages, greeting customers, cashiering, giving tours of the spa facility and responding to all enquiries while observing set standards.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
  • Coordinate and communicate with the Spa team to ensure a smooth operation of the department, while delivering a high standard of guest interaction and customer service.

  • Acknowledge and greet with enthusiasm and professionalism everyone who enters and leaves the spa facilities.

  • Answer the phone in a professional and knowledgeable manner to obtain appropriate information and to address the customer’s needs. Assist clients/members to book an appointment.

  • Work closely with the Recreation Manager to educate, promote and encourage sales on an on-going basis, through full product and price knowledge.

  • Proactively solicit clients for treatments and schedule reservations, monitoring availability of staff to ensure punctual service.

  • Organize schedules to fully utilize time and profitability while ensuring that clients’ needs are prioritized.

  • Check-in and check-out guests, verifying completeness and accuracy of information provided by the customer and recording performed treatments.

  • Ensure the reception area is tidy and clean and that all materials e.g. towels, newspapers, magazines and advertising material are readily available.

  • Assist in the control of stock and inventory.

  • Complete and file paperwork and assist with projects as needed.


Ideally, you will have a High School diploma or equivalent with minimum 1 year experience in a similar role, and will display the following skills and attributes:
 
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

  • Organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills

  • Ability to handle guests’ complaints and requests

  • Friendly, enthusiastic and proactive personality
