The Westin Doha Hotel & Spa, located in the heart of Doha, is set to become the business ultimate destination & entertainment center.
The hotel is the 4th Starwood property in Qatar; it will count with 365 rooms & suites including 2 presidential suites and 5 bungalows, 5 restaurants & bars, almost 3000sqm of meeting & events facilities, business center, dedicated female and male Spa area, 2 outdoor & 1 indoor pools, and a state-of-the-art fitness center.
•As Food and Beverage Sales Specialist, you will work with Food and Beverage Department to maximize revenue opportunities through the sale of outlets food, beverage and service. Food and Beverage Sales Specialist will be directly responsible for performing the following task to the highest standards:
•Interact with clients, owners and suppliers to promote Food and Beverage and hotel
•The Sales Specialist will go out within respective geographic areas for which they have responsibility and work with the sales force to bring in and close business
•Responsible to achieve the monthly financial targets
•Communicate with target customers and manage guests relationship
•Contribute to the selling strategy of the hotel and manage the departments to increase the venue awareness
•Understand the competitive marketplace and implement approaches to ensure the hotel stays competitive in the local market
•Maintain and update Food and Beverage guests database
•Work effectively to build relationships with colleagues in the hotel
•Create and implement effective marketing schedules of Food and Beverage activities and evaluate marketing promotions and produce monthly reports
Supportive Functions (Property specific):
•Support the food & beverage admin assistant to maintain the mailing list
•Maintain a record of other hotels, newsletter, rack rates and any other collateral material.
•Maintain order in the filing system of the Food & Beverage office and update files on a regular basis.
•Maintain liaison with all Department Heads to ensure that the best service is provided to the clients.
•Provide market intelligence/information of the other competitor hotels and be fully knowledgeable of competitor’s weakness/strengths; and at the same time maintain confidentiality of this hotel’s activities, targets and rate structure.
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
•Hotel Management School Diploma
•2-3 years prior experience in hotel operations
