We are currently seeking a dynamic, accomplished Hotel Director of Finance to join an internationally branded 5-star wellness & conference hotel in Bavaria, Germany.

 As Director of Finance for this high-quality wellness & conference hotel in a famous spa town in Bavaria, you will be responsible for the overall management of the finance operation. This position is ideal for a German-speaking Hotel Controller to take the next step and to take responsibility for all aspects of the finance department.

You will be expected to work closely with the senior operational team to guide them so that they can optimise the operations and achieve their financial goals in harmony with their day to day management responsibilities. In-depth experience of hotel operations is a must.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of current principles and practices within hotel accounting and operations in line with uniform system of accounting. Additionally, a well-founded knowledge of accounting systems is needed to help implement new IT systems to improve the hotel’s controlling and accounting procedures.

With 156 bedrooms, 3 restaurants, conference facilities for over 1,500m2 of conference space and a medical spa the hotel requires a candidate who will need to demonstrate outstanding organisational and planning skills within all disciplines of a busy luxury hotel finance department.

The hotel is located in Bavaria, about one-hour’s drive from Munich and half and hour’s drive from Augsburg.

Successful candidates must speak fluent German.

A degree/qualification in Finance/Accounting or Business administration supported by a minimum of two years of professional accomplishments as a Hotel Controller within 5-star hotel environment.

A consistent career path within hospitality showing experience and training gained relating to hotel operations and financial procedures.

Candidates must be eligible to work and live in the European Union.
