    JOB SUMMARY                                                                                                                                          Responsible for fulfilling various human resources functions including the following:  oversee the employee housing and recreation facilities. Is responsible for supervising a Housing team and building owners staff.   The Associates Accommodation comprises a total of 128 apartments.  Selected employees live outside the Associates  Accommodation and their housing is under the responsibility of the  Assistant  Housing Manager.     
RESPONSIBILITIES The primary responsibilities of the role include:    Leadership
  • Lives the Renaissance philosophy and emphasizes the importance of company values on a daily basis.  Participates in the daily line-up and models the Gold Standards in all interactions with team members and employees.
  • In conjunction with the Human Resources Management Team, develops a Human Resources Plan that supports Renaissance, Dubai, meets the needs of the ladies and gentlemen and generates a high return on talent.
  • Develops implements and continuously reviews HR SOP in conjunction with the Director of Human Resources to meet strategic business objectives.
  Building Relationship
  • Establishes and maintain open, collaborative relationship with internal (employee and managers) and external groups (candidates, suppliers, casual labour company).
  • Demonstrates business ethics and personal integrity, i.e. is widely trusted; is seen as a direct truthful individual.
  • Shares relevant information upward and downward.
  • Celebrates successes and publicly recognize the contribution of his/her team.
  • Counsels line staff, supervisor, and Leaders as needed in areas of employee relations.
  • Builds team synergy, embraces and enlivens The Employee Promise on a daily basis to enable business success and maintain brand integrity.
  Managing Work Execution
  • Oversees the arrival and departure process of all our associates at the beginning and end of their employment to ensure a smooth process and an engaging experience, accommodation, inventory of rooms items, brief orientation of the staff accommodation.
  • Assigns the accommodation of all new associates based on their employment contract entitlement.
  • Inspects the employees’ public areas, rooms and recreation center to ensure safety, maintenance and cleanliness of highest standards.
  • Handles housing requests and take corrective actions to ensure their satisfaction.
  • Creates a short term and long term Maintenance Plan for the housing and recreation area and update upon needs. 
  • Ensures there is an annual and monthly housing and recreation activities plan and that the activities are executed according to the plan.
  • Produces various Housing and Recreation reports to illustrate activities and staff movement.
  • Ensures alignment with Human Resources Audit Standards
  • Participates in the organization of social events such as the General Session, Annual staff party and Dance, Five Star Awards…
  • Ensures that all employees’ activities involving a third party are well coordinated.
  • Liaises with suppliers and verify that they fulfill their contract:  Bus Company, cleaning company, and other suppliers.
  Generating Talent
  • Conducts KRA (Key Results Area) meetings with direct report on a weekly or every other week to ensure alignment, offer support and give and receive feedback.
  • Conducts the performance appraisal of reporting ladies and gentlemen, and create a development plan based on their individual strengths, development needs, career aspirations and abilities. 
  • Compiles the induction kit for new comers and distribution upon their arrival and at orientation:  inventory check list.
  Organizational Learner
  • Readily critiques own behavior to acknowledge mistakes and improve future leadership performance; acts independently to improve and increase skills and knowledge.  Seeks and welcomes feedback.
  • Demonstrates that learning is a top priority for everyone and drives learning and sharing of knowledge amongst peers and team.
  • Identifies and analyzes human resources operational challenges and facilitates the development of solutions to prevent reoccurrence; focuses on underlying processes.  Uses processes such as the 6 Step quality improvement process to make sustainable improvements.
  • Keeps abreast of Human Resources trends, and what benefits other hotels are offering in terms of housing and recreation facilities in Dubai and in the region, in order to remain the “employer of choice”.
  Other Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.  
PROFILE Experience
  • Must have a minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in Human Resources Management in a multi-cultural environment; experience in housekeeping or housing preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
