Location

The Westin Doha Hotel & Spa, located in the heart of Doha, is set to become the business ultimate destination & entertainment center.

The hotel is the 4th Starwood property in Qatar; it will count with 365 rooms & suites including 2 presidential suites and 5 bungalows, 5 restaurants & bars, almost 3000sqm of meeting & events facilities, business center, dedicated female and male Spa area, 2 outdoor & 1 indoor pools, and a state-of-the-art fitness center.

Job Description

•To have a good knowledge of SPG and promoting the (Starwood Preferred Guest) program.
•Responsible for the effective Activation of the Global Personalization at Starwood (GPS) program. Proactively observe and use guest information to provide personalized services and make each guest feel welcome and special at all times.
•Engage guest using the Westin pillars of wellbeing to ensure every guest leave feeling better then when they arrived.
•Recognizes and knows regular guest names, SPG Platinum and SPG VIPs and review preferences and ensure guest requests are carried out accordingly.
•Ensure compliance with The Welcome and The Farewell to improve the efficiency of check in and check out.
•Be aware of the Hotel facilities, F&B Venue’s, Westin Workout Fitness Studio and Heavenly Spa opening times, locations and promotions.
•Take personal responsibility for ensuring all issues pertaining to guest satisfaction are met and that follow up is completed on a timely basis.
•To develop a close and harmonious working relationship with all hotel departments.
•Ensure all guest registrations are completed and correspond with Opera PMS Guest’s information and also in STARGUEST.
•Be aware of daily functions, events, VIPs and group arrivals and carry out any other duties as required.
•Accept credit card and cash payments according to hotel policy.
•Ensure security of cash and safe deposits, keys and floats.
•Balance all payment methods and floats with daily banking before going off shift.
•Ensures smooth hand-over to next shift.
•Perform postings in the Opera system.
•Promote, assist and handle reservations in all the F&B Venue’s.
•Be pro-active, assist guests with any inquiries, handle and resolve guest complaints.
•Familiar with all Guest service related system.
•Full knowledge of rate structure and special packages, discounts, room types, all applicable coding, bedding type, location of rooms and safety features.



Requirements

You must be fluent in the English language, both written and verbally. (Arabic Speaking Preferred). You must have work with Opera System. Previous experience of at least 1 year experience in the position at the Hospitality Industry preferably in the Middle East or within Starwood properties. Ability to work under pressure.
