Opening Director of Sales & Marketing - Asia
We are looking for a dynamic, entrepreneurial and ambitious person to manage the opening of a first brand hotel for a global hotel company in Asia. Working closely with the GM and other key senior Directors in the few months leading up to the opening, the DOSM will have the support of the regional and global sales and marketing team to make sure the preopening of this 4* hotel will be a success.
As such, this would appeal to either an experienced DOS looking for a first DOSM role or a DOSM in a smaller hotel, keen to join a global hotel group to further their career.
The hotel’s feeder markets will be pre-dominantly from the Asian markets so it is highly desirable that the successful person will have worked in the ASPAC region. However, it is about finding the right person and if there is someone who is working in e.g. the Indian Ocean or even the Middle East with demonstrable knowledge of the the leisure segment, the client will consider them. It is essential they understand the wholesale segment and the long haul tour operators who will contribute to 30-40% of the overall business.
The right person is someone who is hands-on, proactive, organised, structured, yet able to adapt quickly, understands the global market, shifting trends, booking channels and can lead a small team to make it happen.
This is most definitely an “entry” role to the company: do well and there will be promotion opportunities in the shorter term and long-term ongoing career development.
