Scheduled to debut in early 2017, Aloft Al Ain will be the first Starwood hotel to open in Al Ain.

Job Description

The Chef de Partie is responsible for all aspects of supervising the production of goods and personnel, ensuring the quality preparation of all items and proper handling/storage of all food items in accordance with HACCP standards.

Specific Requirements

•Proven Track record in hospitality in area of expertise – minimum 5 years’ experience in in the experience in a traditional, Western kitchen

•Minimum 3 years of that experience should have been in a similar role in an international been in a classic and creative modern all day dining cuisine in a 5 * star restaurant or hotel environment

•Preferably tertiary qualification or diploma in Hospitality Management and/or Culinary training or apprenticeship certificate and HACCP certificate

•Ability to train, motivate, evaluate, mentor and direct talents

•Continuously suggest new concepts and improve existing processes that will benefit revenues, costs and guests’ and talents’ satisfaction

•Willing to work long hours, flexible and adaptable to different working locations

•Experienced with current food trends in the UAE and around the world

•Ability to work as part of a diverse team with colleagues from different cultures and countries

•Demonstrates leadership qualities to gain support from both senior management and line talents

•Effective time management, prioritization and organization skills, which will be evident when working under pressure and to meet deadlines

•Lead the team by setting the example through your own behavior

•Take pride in personal grooming, hygiene and uniform

•Pre-opening experience is preferred
