The Fairmont Southampton has been the island's premier luxury resort since its opening in 1972 and is regarded as a leader in the hospitality industry on the island.   Summary of Responsibilities: Reporting to the Director, Food & Beverage , responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:             
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Lead the F&B Outlet team in all aspects of the department and ensure service standards are followed
  • Greeting and seating guests, ensuring service is prompt, efficient

    and courteous

  • Assisting guests and team as needed

  • Assigning stations and duties to team

  • Managing reservations, questions and complaints

  • Conducting outlet inspections ensuring tables, work stations and

    areas are immaculate and orderly

  • Ensuring supplies required throughout service are appropriately

    stocked and replenished

  • Assisting with scheduling, supervising, training and evaluating team

  • Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Two (2) years Food and Beverage/Restaurant leadership experience required
  • Degree, Diploma or Certification in hospitality management an asset
  • Proven team leadership and basic trainer skills

  • Sound knowledge of food and wine services

  • Previous point of sale system experience preferred

  • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications preferred
  • University/College degree in a related discipline preferred
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
  Visa Requirements: Non-Bermudian candidates will need to qualify for a Bermuda Department of Immigration work permit applied for by the Fairmont Southampton Hotel.
