to Crowne Plaza Resort Salalah in 10 minutes. We combine a resort getaway with
easy access to the centre of Salalah, just 10 minutes' drive away. Lush hotel

themed buffets on the white sand at Dolphin Beach Restaurant to Arabic singers

Join us as an Assistant
Purchasing Manager.  You’ll have
ambition, talent and obviously, some key skills.  For this vital role,
we’re looking for someone who will be responsible to:

 

Participates in negotiations for service contracts

Identifies and develops reliable sources of supply

Establishes adequate record keeping and issuance
procedures

Keeps abreast of the marketplace as to innovation and
value

        Analyze market and delivery systems in order to
assess present and future material availability

Processes purchase requests from departments

Review purchase order claims and contracts for
conformance to company policy

Participate in the development of specifications
for equipment, products or substitute materials

Direct and coordinate activities of personnel
engaged in buying materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies

Prepare reports regarding market conditions and
merchandise costs

Administer on-line purchasing systems

Obtains competitive quotations and bids

Ensure physical stock take is conducted as
scheduled

Define an approved vendor list to be used for
procurement (transaction process/ordering) by key users in the hotel

Track and report supplier’s performance measures
as per Purchasing Policy on a defined frequency (agreed with the direct report)

Responsible of maintaining supplier’s price
competitiveness by using key purchasing strategies (Threat of competition,
volume leverage, etc.)

Establishes standard purchasing specifications

Ensures products and resources are assigned to the
appropriate department and billed accordingly

Supervises the hotels print shop to ensure timely
and economical production of printed material

To follow and comply with the Purchasing Policy
established by IHG Purchasing Team

Qualifications:



 



·         High level of passion,
enthusiasm and drive for results



·          Excellent
communication skills



·         Experience & ability to
develop leading strategies to drive for best results.



·         High level of common sense
and high skill of problem solving and decision making



·         Drive for results to
outperform competition



·         Proven track  record of a minimum 2 years’ experience  in a 5* resorts



·         Resort Experience is a must.



·         IHG “InterContinental Hotels
Group” experience is preferred.  



·         Degree from a university in
Hotel Management is preferred 



·         Strong
sourcing and negotiation skills
