About the role

An exciting role has arisen in Sports & Leisure at Madinat Jumeirah for a highly motivated and hardworking individual. The main purpose of this position is to provide guests and users with a safe, full range of Water-sports activities through professional service and well maintained equipment

Your main duties will include:

  • To follow all standards operating procedures regarding water sports activities, with respect to safety, service and maintenance.

  • To control rigging, launching and recovery of boats and equipment.

  • To keep an organized booking system for the various activities.

  • To provide instruction/coaching for the various activities as required.

  • To carry out boat driving duties, as required.

  • To help maintain cleanliness and timid ness of beach area and surroundings.

  • To report any matters of maintenance to the S&L Coordinator.

  • To have a thorough knowledge of other departments and hotel facilities.

  • To carry out other reasonable duties, as requested by management.

  • To be updated on all relevant information and sights/views  to be visited by guests on a boat trip

  • To raise & submit  manual receipt to pavilion reception  or beach lobby for posting

  • Report for duty punctually, maintaining a high standard of personal grooming, wearing correct uniform and name tag at all times.

  • Participate in any scheduled training and development programs.

  • Provide a friendly, courteous and professional service at all times.

  • Ensure that relationships with colleagues are good, maximizing team spirit and cooperation to the good of the department and hotel.

  • Carry out other reasonable duties, as requested by management

About you

In order to be considered for this role, you must have at least 1 year experience working in Sports & Leisure in a five star hotel. You must have RYA Power Boat 2 certification. You must be at least high school graduate with good English communication skills.
