A Director of Sales & Marketing is required for a newly built luxury city center hotel, which is part of an International group that has hotels and resorts almost globally.  This group is considered by many to be the most innovative operators in SE Asian market.  They offer several brands, including 5 star deluxe and 4 star properties. 

Recent experience in Myanmar, Vietnam and Thailand or close is our client’s “hot button”!

The position will report to the General Manager and oversee this new property, as well as establishment and successful running of the sales & marketing teams.  The DOSM will identify and coordinate appropriate experts in relations to market research, public relations and advertising agencies, website planning and recommend and implement as appropriate.  Identification and implementation of distribution systems, pricing strategies, branding, and revenue management systems are also key responsibilities of this position. 

Identifying and securing corporate partnerships for the hotel is also a responsibility of this position.

Following are primary requirements, skills set and qualifications for the position:

Minimum 8 – 10 years of hotel sales experience in SE Asia.

Held a Director of Sales or Director of Sales and Marketing role for an upscale hotel.  Our client will only consider those from 5 star hotel or any hotel in Myanmar.

Strong knowledge in sales disciplines specifically in sales positioning, customer and business segmentation, revenue management, distribution strategy and brand management.

Knowledge of hotel business planning, and has relevant experience with handling large business, food & beverage, and convention Markets.

Managed a cluster or corporate responsibility.

Worked with an International hotel brand in Asia / Pacific.


Degree in Business/Sales from a recognized University/College.

Compensation based on experience.  Expat conditions optional.
