As Director of Portfolio Development for this prestigious hotel consortium, you will be responsible for identifying and acquiring potentially new member hotels, seeing them through all aspects of the joining process including presentations, site visits, market studies, projections, valuations and legal contract negotiations.

You will also conduct and finalise all contract negotiations for existing member hotel, conduct property performance and positioning reviews to ensure the owners and managers derive additional growth potential for the properties and for the consortium.

You will be expected to build and maintain an excellent network of industry professionals such as architects, designer and developers in order to be able to identify new portfolio development potential.

Our client is looking for a candidate who has a strong analytical background and can demonstrate a strong understanding of hotel transactions and complex hotel operations environments. As the position will include a large proportion of travel the ability to multi-task and manage resources efficiently will be essential.

The position will be based in Germany and candidates need to be fluent in English and at least one other European language.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate 5-10 years of hospitality experience with two or more years in either hotel or luxury real-estate development.

Having to meet and negotiate with owners and investors of hotels you will have excellent inter-personal skills, a professional, mature demeanour and be able to express yourself in a confident and assertive manner.

Significant travel will be part of the position.
