The Hotel

Located in the region of Tanah Lot, home to Bali’s most iconic temple and a short drive away from the island’s scenic Nirwana golf course, Nirjhara is a luxury boutique hotel set to open in the first semester of 2017. Overlooking verdant rice fields and surrounded by a river and waterfalls, Nirjhara will offer modern luxury in the midst of a lush jungle.

The property comprises 25 unique villas (47m2 – 220m2), including 7 Canopy Suites – modern tree houses with a commanding view of the surrounding wilderness and the ocean. Facilities feature a 25m swimming pool, a European/Pan-Asian restaurant, a bar, a boutique, a library, a spa and a state of the art fitness center to provide a memorable and relaxing experience to our guests. A beach club is under construction to offer seaside dining and surfing. The hotel also boasts a private cinema, along with 2 seminar rooms to cater to the incentive and team-building market.

Nirjhara will strive to set a new standard among boutique luxury hotels by merging tropical luxury and modern design, and providing a genuinely personalized service and authentic experiences in a secluded setting.

Job Summary

Pre-opening Responsibilities:

  • Work with the property owners to apply the hotel’s philosophy and values
  • Coordinate the recruitment of the hotel staff
  • Promote the hotel through various channels
  • Assist department managers with operational processes
  • Orchestrate the soft and grand openings of the hotel

General Responsibilities:

  • Manage ongoing profitability of the property, ensuring revenue and guest satisfaction targets are met and exceeded
  • Deliver achievable budgets, and set other short- and long- term strategic goals for the property with the hotel owners
  • Keep operations team focused on the critical components of operations to drive guest satisfaction and the desired financial results
  • Manage occupancy & rate, wages and controllable expenses
  • Coach and support operations team to deliver excellence on all aspects of the guest experience
  • Hold regular briefings and meetings with the heads of departments and liaise with the company owners
  • Maintain an active HR policy to ensure employee motivation
  • Create and monitor reports and analyses of guest satisfaction
  • Tour the property on a daily basis and interact with all the guests personally at different stages of their stay
  • Coordinate marketing efforts and supervise distribution channels
  • Maximize hotel and rooms yield through innovative sales actions and other actions

Candidate Profile:

  • Experience as General Manager, Assistant GM or Director of Operations within a luxury resort
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills
  • Experience managing budgets, revenue proposals, and forecasting results
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in increasing profitability
  • Degree from a hospitality management school
  • Full English proficiency (written and spoken)
  • Knowledge of the Indonesian language is beneficial but not required
