Job Description


Key Accountabilities

  • Create new Arabic menu items
  • Check the daily order, and produce the quantity ordered following the SOPs maintaining HACCP standards.
  • Assign tasks to Demi chefs and Commies, and organize the production of the departments.
  • Sure the availability of the food items at all times.
  • Manage the ordering process of food items.
  • Manage staff in the department and ensure high personal hygiene among employees.
  • To maintain good employees relations and motivate staff at all times, be a role model.
  • To report any problems regarding failures of machinery or small equipments to the Sous chef.
  • Manage and train the employees in the department.
  • Assist in the production of the events ( outside caterings)
  • Fill all the HACCP forms and ensure the implementation of HACCP standards
  • Ensure that portioning and packaging of the food products as per the direction of the nutritionist
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work station area including all kitchen areas and equipments.
  • Rotate products properly, following first in first out.
  • Assist in food prep assignments during off peak periods as needed.
  • Attend all kitchen employees meetings and bring suggestions for improvement.
  • Assist in implementing new menu items and provide new ideas
  • Understand costing and assist the Sous chef in the costing process.
  • Keep updated with the new trends, cuisines and hospitality knowledge in General.
