About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Conference and Events department for a highly motivated and hard working individual. To handles all incoming groups and event inquiries. Effectively leads the customer through the sales process to the point of a signed contract or offer. Communicate details and specifics of group or event to the Conference and Events services team. Ensuring thorough and detailed handover of file to Event Management Team

Main Duties:   

  • Conducts site inspection effectively and professionally with thorough knowledge of clients’ needs and hotel products

  • Answers all incoming group and event inquiries / opportunities

  • Qualifies each business opportunity.

  • Determines availability of space and rates according to yield management principles and knowledge of business pace

  • Presents benefits of the hotel to the client.

  • Enlarging client’s needs to further improvement revenue yields.

  • Conduct comprehensive and customized site inspections with the event management/conference servicing team.

  • Develop and send out concise and accurate contracts.

  • Proper hand over of event to event management/conference servicing.

  • To meet measurable targets and revenue goals (individual and team).

  • Have excellent product knowledge of function space, audio-visual equipment, capacities, guest room inventory, room rates and menus.

  • Be accountable for all targets and goals set for area of responsibility.

  • Abide by hotel’s grooming standards to project the luxury image of the brand.

  • Ensure balance between Opera & Delphi is accurate.

  • Shoulder in & shoulder out date is clearly communicated with the customers to ensure the correct blocking on opera.

About You


  • Business or related degree from Internationally recognized tertiary institution
  • Experience 

  • At least 2 years experience in Sales or similar role
  • Preferably worked in a 5 star hotel
  • Skills and Attributes 


    • Excellent communication, interpersonal relationships, and time management skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong and outgoing personality and good negotiation skills
    • Strong team player
    • Confident, friendly and approachable manner
    • Must be articulate and attention to details


    • Experience with data analysis and interpretation
    • Arabic speaking is an advantage
