Job Responsibility 

  1. Advises management of Events effort progress and bookings.
  2. Follows, reviews, and advise the superior of ways to improve the events marketing Standards and Policy.
  3. Coaches and plans effectively to motivate all events sales personnel to do the best they can to achieve the departmental as well as the hotel’s goals.
  4. Reports on confirmed and anticipated bookings for forecasting purposes.
  5. Meets regularly with hotel department heads to review events sales efforts and provide feedback from customers.
  6. Liaises with client & Guest Services, booking, and Banquet Department.
  7. Provides directions to all concerned departments regarding incoming groups.
  8. Directs events sales executives to contact potential business leads, keeping control of heavy booking dates.
  • Identifies and develops events to promote and develop the event and conference sales revenue achieving the annual sales target.
  • Under direction, responsible for determining potential client space rental and service needs, negotiating space rental/service contracts with potential clients and coordinating staff to maximize the sales revenue.
  • Effectively manages all event and conference services and activities of the hotel, from booking events to their execution to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Assists the Director of Event Services in forecasting, month end closing, annual budget planning and event marketing plan, ensures effective cost control.
  • Solicits new and existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication.
  • Serves as the representative for the hotel on all contracts with conference partners, vendors and event services employees.
  • Develops and maintains knowledge of market trends, competition and customers.
  • Reports on conference and event activities and results to Director of Event Services, and where necessary develop reporting mechanisms and metrics; Monitors customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts.
  • Furnishes sales monthly reports according to the request on a timely basis.
  • Determines price schedules and discount rates.
  • Directs event sales coordinator to contact potential business leads, keeps control of heavy booking dates.
  • Resolves booking conflict based on group importance, revenue potential, alternate dates.
  • Oversees all assigned groups, functions and events when they are in-house to ensure maximum employee satisfaction.
  • Constructively handles (or supervises the handling of) customer complaints related to Sales department.
  • Ensures meetings and function rooms are properly maintained at all times. Liaises with Food and Beverage outlets with regards to reservations and flow of clients
  • Ensures all team members are product knowledge trained.
  • Exercises administrative supervision on Sales employee which includes personnel requisition, disciplinary, promotion and training, approves leave and overtime requests.
  • Maintains self and all personnel’s grooming standards.
  • Participates and conducts departmental meetings and briefings from time to time to ensure performance efficiency.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                Job Requirement            
  1. Minimum education of Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Marketing or relevant discipline
  2. Minimum of 4-5 years sales experience in a similar capacity.
  3.  Preferably who are holding Europe passport For ease of movement and travel.
  4. Have excellent communication skills in written and spoken English
  5. Result-Oriented. Have a positive attitude toward challenges and the drive to excel

Posses professional disposition with excellent communication and interpersonal

  • Complies with event contractual commitments; and performs related duties as required by Director of Event Services or clients.
