This is an Exciting opportunity to join our pre opening Team at Doha.  Mondrian Doha will be Morgans Hotel first Hotel in the Middle East, with more in the pipeline. We are a luxury lifestyle brand, and we are looking for a dynamic, experienced, enthusiastic and energetic professional.

Job Purpose:

Under the general guidance of the Director of Finance, Responsible to management for the formulation of sound, constructive and timely credit and collection policies and practices and administering all credit operations of the company in a manner that will contain credit losses, retain customer goodwill and result in prompt collection of the hotel’s accounts receivable.

Reports directly to the Director of Financeon all day-to-day operational matters affecting credit processes and proceedures the hotel, and directly to the Director of Finance on all finance matters

Duties & Functions:

  • Conducts credit investigations so that an intelligent appraisal of the client’s worth, character and ability to pay may be ascertained to justify extension of credit.
  • Prepare client invoices along with supporting documents within 2 days of check-out of the guests.
  • Coordinates with Accounting on the cheques and cash collected.
  • Plan and maintain a system for the regular follow-up and collection of receivables in accordance with the hotel’s policies and terms.
  • Deal with clients in a firm but diplomatic manner to produce best results and maintain good relations with clients.
  • Keep abreast with trends and developments in the industry and in the profession as well as with laws and regulations affecting credit policies and practices.
  • Report all unfavorable information regarding the credit standing of a customer so that immediate action can be taken.
  • Ensure that established credit policies and procedures are followed.
  • Coordinate with other departments on credit and collection matters (Sales, Reservations, F&B).
  • Prepare monthly ageing report.
  • Prepares detail of outstanding for the weekly / monthly credit meetings.
  • Develop and maintain credit relationship with clients, banks, other hotels for the purpose of obtaining and exchanging credit and financial information.
  • Reviews credit granted for banquet functions.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by the senior from time to time.
  • Implement and monitor an efficient system of sending reminders and other correspondences to facilitate debt collection and to provide appropriate filling of documents for traces and action.
  • To monitor and control of in-house credit limits.
  • To endorse Write-offs for managements approval and provide comprehensive account history and all collection efforts undertaken.
  • Responsible for the bill collector and all activities related to bill collection
  • Oversees capital project budgets and reporting.

Specific Job Knowledge & Skills:

  • Applicants should have at least 3years’ experience at the same role with 5* International Hotel companies.
  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills in Arabic.
  • Outgoing personality
  • Middle East Experience is a must.
  • Currently in the same role
  • Pre-opening experience essential
  • Experience with Sun Accounting System is essential.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Possess a gracious, friendly, and fun demeanor
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast paced environment and have a high level attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments
  • Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork
  • Applicants should have at least 5 years’ experience in Finance Department within 5* International Hotel companies.
