Job role:



 



As Revenue
Manager, you are responsible to, under the guidance and direction of the
General Manager, within the limits of established Crowne Plaza Hotels and local
policies and procedures, ensures optimizing hotel performance in the market
place through tactical and strategic approaches.  Maximizing hotel
revenues and leading in decision making across all revenue generating
departments of the Hotel including to Rooms, Conference and Events, Food &
Beverage.  Monitor competitor pricing for all revenue generating
departments, understands the dynamic of the local market and the demand
generators and recommends appropriate actions to the Revenue Room Taskforce in
relation to the hotels pricing and market mix strategy.  Champion all special projects relating to
market research and operational optimization (resource planning, costing, Key
Performance Indicators, Guardian of IBP – ensure compliance with all the IBP
Rules and standard processes, Provide input to the annual budget process on all
revenue aspects of the business, understand the composition of hotel
profitability and uses this to evaluate different types of business so as to
provide input to future rate setting and negotiation.  Manage use of revenue systems on a daily
basis.  This includes the responsibility
of any manipulation of the yield hurdle points and daily inventory balancing
where appropriate.  Promoting the desired
work culture around the five core values of Trust, Integrity, Respect, One Team
and Service of the InterContinental Hotels Group.



 You will actively guide
and direct the department to ensure consistency of brand standards and a high
level of performance and service delivery. 
Also as the Revenue Manager, you will be responsible for managing and
motivating your team.  You will be required to ensure that all staff
within your department are adequately trained and developed in line with
company policy.  You will also be responsible for the recruitment and
selection of your team and for managing any employee relations issues with the
support of the Human Resources Department.

Preferred candidate should be a college/ university degree
graduate with a minimum of four years experienced in Revenue/Front Office  department in an international five star
hotel with preferable previous experiences in the Middle East;



Ability to run the Revenue Department with a team and maintain
the compliance with the IHG standards



Knowledge of word processing, Microsoft excel, spreadsheets, and
other related revenue computer software



 



Ultimately, you will be able to demonstrate excellent written
and verbal communication in English.   You will be a self-starter,
hands-on leader and you will be able to demonstrate understanding of the
business and link the business environment to IHG commitments; have a high
level of drive for results and ability to lead and motivate team members to
achieve the results; will be adaptable and flexible with the ability to build
relationships in a multi-cultural environment and gain trust and support of
team members and senior managers.  You will have exceptional planning,
organizing and delegating skills with attention to detail.  You will have
the ability to exhibit strong decision making skills to deliver brand service
standards resulting in highest guest satisfaction.  You will possess a
high level of integrity to lead by example and gain respect of peers and
