  • Position would suit an existing Executive Chef or outstanding Executive Sous Chef looking for their first senior appointment

Our client is managing a boutique property in Indonesia and is searching for a highly experienced and trained Executive Chef to oversee the activities of the entire kitchen division.

The ideal candidate will have a very strong working background in not only cooking but should also have sound understanding of managing the overall activities of department such as budgets and cost control, recruitment and development of the kitchen team, HACCP, Health and Hygiene monitoring and maintenance as well as remain highly creative and innovative in developing new menus and promotions.

  • Must have a strong background in 4 or 5 star hotels and resorts
  • Strong buffet background as well as fine dining experience will be highly regarded
  • Provide supervision, training, direction and leadership to all kitchen staff – this role is extremely hands on
  • Ensure smooth operation in the kitchen areas
  • Ability to lead and train a medium-sized team 
  • Monitor all the food preparation for buffet, casual and fine-dining as well as banquets and events
  • Strict control of purchasing, receiving and storing
  • Ensure the highest level of food safety and security
  • Must have excellent communication skills in English
  • Have strong leadership and training skills
  • Should be HACCP certified
