1. JOB SUMMARY:
Is responsible for
the upkeep, presentation and maintenance of all beverage stock, storage and
service equipment, making and dispense drinks in accordance with the standard
recipes of the outlet and entertaining guests in a professional manner with in
the guide lines of hotel policy. A bartender is also responsible for giving
correct stocks in accordance with requisitions and checking stocks
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to guests requests
beverages from storeroom
bar areas, prepare correct garnishes and mise-en-place
bar stock in accordance with established standards
5. Ensures security
of beverage stock in the bar using key control procedures
6. Controls beverage consumption of guests and stops
serving when necessary
7. Reports any shortages to Supervisor
8. Polishes glasses and respects all hygiene rules in
up selling at all levels and by personal efforts through guests contacts
10. Performs other duties that may be assigned by manager
any breakages to Bar Supervisor
12. Liases with Waiters/tresses with regard to out of stock
items during service
13. Co-operate with the company to achieve compliance with FLS
14. Take moral and legal responsibility for conducting themselves in
their work so they do not expose themselves or others to risk
15. Not undertake any activity which compromises their personal FLS,
or the FLS of others
16. Report all accidents, dangerous occurrences, or hazards, no matter
how minor, to the supervisor or Heads of Department.
1. Comply with
hotel rules and regulations and provisions contained in the employment handbook.
2. Comply with
company grooming standards at all times to portray a professional image of self
and the hotel.
3. Comply with
time and attendance policies set by the hotel.

7. Ensure all
security incidents, accidents and near misses are always logged in a timely
manner and brought to the attention of the line manager.

10. Perform all tasks
