We seek a General Manager for a luxury global brand’s repositioned large 5* hotel in Shanghai, China. This is an International group that owns and manages city center business hotels, resorts, and other hospitality entities in North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East and are now developing 5* properties in China.  

This property contains superb Residences and a full service luxury Hotel and our client is looking someone who is very good with owners and guests. 

China experience is mandatory and you must be a hands on and an outgoing General Manager in a similar luxury brand.

Mandatory Requirements:

The individual must have a “charismatic personality” and must also have extensive China knowledge and work experience.

A good pedigree with a “high end operator”, i.e. Hyatt, Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton, Shangri-La, Peninsula, Mandarin or similar only, as they will be required to have credibility with the owners.

Work experience outside of SE Asia is mandatory with a preference for European or North American work history.

Diploma/Degree/Professional Qualifications in Hotel Management.

A proven track record with a stable career history.

Extensive experience in hotel management in large scale operations in Asia.

Complete knowledge in the functions essential to operate hotels of a large size 400 rooms plus.

A thorough knowledge of hotel’s operating policies and standards is expected.

Ability to co-ordinate functions into efficient and coherent operation.

Good owner relationship is very important.

Salary for the right candidate is very negotiable, as it is their premier China property!
