Job Summary

  1.  Prepare food items in any section of the kitchen assigned by the Head Chef according to standard recipes at highest quality level.
  2. Fill food and beverage requisitions for the kitchen’s needs and ensure that mise-en-place is prepared.
  3. Assist in maintenance and cleanliness of all food preparation equipment.
  4. Support the Demi Chef de Partie or Commis I in the daily operation and work 
  5. Work according to the menu specifications by the Chef de Partie  
  6. Control food stock and food cost in his section

  8. Keep work area at all times in hygienic conditions according to the rules set by the hotel 
  9. Prepare the daily mis-en-place and food production in different sections of the main kitchen or satellites 
  10. Follow the instructions and recommendations from the immediate Superiors to complete the daily tasks 
  11. Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keep up to date with the new products, recipes and preparation techniques 
  12. Coordinate and participate with other sections of requirements, cleanliness, wastage


Job Requirement

1. At least High Vocational diploma in any discipline
2. Minimum of 3 years of kitchen experience, preferably in a top class hotel or restaurant 
3. Knowledgeable in cooking and presentation of food. Food sanitization knowledge is a must
4. Ability to communicate basic English 
5. A good team player with good interpersonal skill.
