About the Role

An exciting role has arisen in the Transportation department at Madinat Jumeirah for a highly motivated and hardworking individual. The main purpose of this position is to ensure Vehicles are in excellent condition, Serviced on time and well maintained, with up to date reading of KM’s and check list is maintained for record.

Your main duties will include:

  • Controllers will take charge of the car keys, airport parking cards, petrol cards and mobile phones and will keep them in their custody in the box assigned, and will be given to our drivers not more than 1 hour before the flight arrival & departure time.

  • Controller needs to ensure to have a Check list Maintained whenever the vehicle enters or exits the hotel Premises.

  • Accurately update the Date, Time and Kilo meter reading of Car upon Check out and C/In and also needs to confirm the details have been updated in the log book by the Driver.

  • For exterior check  – The controller needs to carefully inspect the vehicle..

  • Minutely check for any scratches, dents, or minor damage and accurately mark the area on the check list, also check the Mirrors and the windshields front, back and side for any noticeable scratches.  

  • Minutely check for Rim and tyre damages (Inflation Pressure)?.

  • Check  for major damage marks on the vehicle.

  • For accidents ensure a police report is generated.

  • The above needs to be informed to the TL and also updated in the handover Log Book as well as in the check list.

    For Interior Check - The Controller needs to ensure the below is available in the Limousine.  

  1. Wi FI is working

  2. First Aid kit?

  3. Interior and exterior cleanliness of the vehicle?

  4. Engine, wheel, tyre and break noise?- in good condition

  5. Fuel and parking card?-  if available in the car

  6. Tissue Box along with cover and phone chargers?

  7. Cool box with all amenities? Parking card.

  8. 5 CDs classical/Opera/Desert lounge/Jazz/Pop and 1 MJ DVD?

  9. Jumeirah folder, newspaper/Magazine/ Delicious book/Serious (Membership application) Talise Spa Menu and Music Menu/Jumeirah pen? (All free of any amenities missing needs to be indicated on the check list, log book and informed to TL’s)

  • Controller needs to ensure the Check list is signed and also counter signed by the Driver and Team Leader on duty and files in appropriate files.

  • Controller is strictly not allowed to drive the Vehicle even if the vehicle needs to be parked. Only Drivers are allowed to drive or park the vehicle. Controllers  can communicate to the driver for any requirements.  

  • After checking the vehicle controller will hand over the keys to the TL on shift.

  • Controller to maintain grooming standards, respect and cooperation with all team members.

  • Controller will also check if our Drivers maintain the grooming standards and report to TL’s.

  • Will communicate with the Insurance companies and supplies for damage repair and replacement of Vehicles, service dues.  

  • Will regularly monitor cleanliness of the baby seats and ensure they are washed every week.

  • Controller will also check and prepare a check list for the MJ buses similarly to the Limousines.

  • Assist the administrator when required to perform task for smooth operations,

  • Compete the daily controllers check list and file in record.

About You

In order to be considered for this position, you must have at least 1 year experience in a similar position or completed cross training. Experience in Hospitality industry and Transportation field is considered highly desirable. Opera and Microsoft Office knowledge is essential.
