Crowne Plaza Duqm is 8kms
from the town centre and 600kms from Muscat, the hotel offers comprehensive
business facilities with interpretation of Omani architecture. This hotel
features 213 deluxe rooms and suites overlooking the scenic coastline, fully
equipped fitness centre with kid's and adult's pools, choice for conference and
meetings, also features two ballrooms, etc.


We are currently seeking
for passionate and dynamic Commis I (Hot Kitchen) to join our
friendly and professional team at Crowne Plaza Duqm, Oman.


As a Commis I (Hot
Kitchen) you are responsible for the daily food preparation and duties assigned
to meet the set standard and qualities whereby your role will include key
responsibilities such as:

  • Support Chef de Partie or
    Demi Chef de Partie in the daily operation and work
  • Work according to the menu
    specifications by the Chef de Partie
  • Keep work area at all
    times in hygienic conditions according to the rules set by the hotel
  • Control food stock and
    food cost in your section
  • Prepare the daily
    mis-en-place and food production in different sections of the main kitchen 
  • Follow the instructions
    and recommendations from the immediate Superiors to complete the daily tasks
  • Ensure the highest
    standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keep up to date
    with the new products, recipes and preparation techniques
  • Coordinate and participate
    with other sections of requirements, cleanliness, wastage and cost control

Ideally, you'll have the
following things we're looking for: 

  • A
    minimum of 6-8 years demonstrable experience in kitchen environment at a
    star class international hotel.
  • Ability
    to cook in live stations and organize buffet in all day dining
  • Good knowledge
    about A-La-Carte menus
  • Certificate
    in basic or Essential food safety
  • Good
    communication skills in English
  • Ability
    to work under pressure
  • Positive
