Pastry Specialist (Pastry Commis)
Can you produce items ranging from desserts to pastries and other baked goods which entice the palate and the eye of patrons to our property? Are you ready to implement the dessert and sweets menu, follow recipes and reproduce creative teasers of the final presentation on the plate created by the Master Baker & Pastry Chef? Are you able to often execute the display and presentation on the plate of multiple dessert course including sauces and garnishes? If you have answered yes to all of our questions above, you might be our Nikki fit for this role.
Ability to bake, which involves understanding how ingredients come together and how flavors taste and blend. Must possess the relevant food handling certificate as required by the local authorities. Familiar with HACCP Guidelines and food safety requirments. Individual has also to be physically fit and able to lift, move and carry items within the prescribed limits. The role reports to the Master Baker & Pastry Chef.
