General Description:
The Head Bartender is responsible for overseeing the bar and lounge team, with a focus on applying their experience to ensure a high standard of beverage is consistently delivered to guests.

Job Description: 

  1. Ensure that a high standard of service is delivered by the department at all times.
  2. Ensure all guests are satisfied and address all special requests, issues and complaints as they arise.
  3. Ensure effective beverage costing of the drinks menu.
  4. Ensure all drinks are served in accordance with beverage costing measures.
  5. Accountable for the quality of beverages served.
  6. Be well-informed with a thorough knowledge of available products and promote promotions, events and guest surveys.
  7. Encourage thorough product knowledge within the team.
  8. Ensure the bar is fully stocked and organised at all times in accordance with SOP.
  9. Responsible for stock ordering; Ensure all supplies are appropriately stocked.
  10. Perform and record the stock take and inventories at the end of each month.
  11. Assist the Lounge Manager as required.
  12. Address any solvable issues and report all issues and complaints to the Lounge Manager.
  13. Ensure that those you are responsible for operate in accordance with SOP.
  14. Always take initiative to help others and assist other departments as required.
  15. Follow all instructions as directed by management.
  16. Obey to hygiene, food safety and cleanliness regulations.
  17. Attend scheduled training sessions and training meetings as requested by management.
  18. Be fully aware of licensing regulations and abide by these rules.
  19. Be fully aware of fire and safety regulations.
  20. Assist subordinates and deliver regular training to the team as required.
