Technician 1 (Audio Visual)
Can you be responsible to set up and operate audio and video equipment including microphones, sound speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, recording equipment, connecting wires and cables, sound and mixing boards, and related electronic equipment for concerts, sports events, meetings and conventions, presentations, and news conferences? Are you able to also set up and operate associated spotlights and other custom lighting systems? Are you capable of organizing and maintaining compliance, license, and warranty information related to audio and video facilities? Minimum 2 years of experience in a hotel in undertaking insallation and connection of audio visual equipment and repairs. Academic qualifications from technical schools or community colleges related to this field. Ability to read blue prints and use specialised tools is a must. Other traits to include tech and engineering system savvy, attention to detail and able to influence through an ability to articulate concepts clearly and in a compelling way and with facts on the system to support it. The role reports to the Maintenance & Conservation Manager.
