About the role

An exciting role has arisen in the Butlers department at the Burj Al Arab for a highly motivated and hardworking individual. Within this position you will be responsible for ensuring all guest requirements and needs are met according to the hotel's set standards.


Your key duties will include:

  • To maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the cabin and computer terminals

  • To assist the Butler team at all the times ensuring continual communication and coordinates the entire request comes from the floors as well as responsible for private bar

  • To assist superiors in maintaining standards by communicating any challenges in work areas

  • To liaise closely with the Team Leaders for requisitions and replenishment of the Stationary and other stores

  • To ensure that all the guest request, requirements and private bar postings are managed in a professional manner and reports are maintained for all such activities

  • To maintains and updates all the files and records of all required forms and formats in the Butlers’ Department

  • To compile and submits a copy of the consolidated check control sheet to the Night Audit.

  • To maintain a track on the HOTSOS and also ensures that they are completed on time.

  • To post the consumption from the Private Bar Consumptions Sheet

  • To files the Private Bar consumption sheet

  • To make requisitions for the current and next day for arrival amenities, Occasions, VIP amenities, kids’ amenities and flowers

  • To liaise closely with the Florist Department to ensure proper and accurate distribution of flowers to the floors as per the requisitions

  • To make inter-kitchen transfer for the evening amenities, milk, mint leaves, lemon & welcome drink juices

  • To follow and traces the guest request (On-call) items upon departure

  • To co-ordinate with the stores to receive ordered stock and the collection and storage of the same

  • To be responsible for the control, inventory, upkeep and maintenance of the Butlers’ Store Room, its Stock and Supplies

  • To follow up on any pending handover in the logbook if any

  • To prepare and distribute the Guest Occasion Cards to the respective floors as necessary and/or as per instructions

  • To assist Butler Management with additional tasks


About you

To be considered for this position you must have at least 1 year previous experience in Office Administration or Guest Services Executive in a 5-star hotel. You must also have experience in using Opera PMS as well as a good command of both spoken and written English.
