The Reservations Officer handles all incoming and outgoing room reservation requests, as per the hotel standards and procedures. The responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Dealing with telephone calls, e-mails, faxes, correspondence and responding to guests’ requests on a timely manner
  • Ensuring guest profiles are maintained, merged and updated on a regular basis
  • Achieving an optimum level of occupancy and average room rate to best yield revenue by using effective Upselling techniques
  • Assisting the Reservations team in maximizing revenue in line with Hotels’ budgeted and forecasted goals.


We are looking to appoint a Reservations Officer for the stunning 5* Sofitel Dubai Downtown who thrives in a high pressured and rewarding team environment and is looking for a career with a hospitality leader.

Due to role requirements, the candidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills and be a fluent English speaker.

Being Arabic or/and French speaking will constitute an advantage. Proven reservations experience with substantial knowledge the hospitality sector with sound information systems knowledge are favored.
