InterContinental Doha is looking for a Director of Food and Beverage to join our team.

As Director of Food & Beverage, you will be responsible for the effective operation and development of the Food & Beverage Department in the Hotel, ensuring that company brand standards of quality and cleanliness are maintained at all times, whilst meeting the needs of the business. You will also be responsible for managing and motivating your team, making sure that all staff within your department are adequately trained and developed in line with company policy, direct the day to day staffing requirements, establish performance and development goals for team members, provide mentoring, coaching and feedback to help improve overall performance. As Director of Food and Beverage you will play a major role in the Recruitment and Selection of your team and manage any Employee Relations issues with the support of the Human Resources Department. You will actively guide and direct the whole team to ensure consistency of brand standards and a high level of performance and service delivery.

In your position, you will participate in the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget and financial plans, monitor budget and control expenses, identify additional sales opportunities, and monitor local competitors and industry trends to enhance Food and Beverage revenue.

·         A pro-active team player and strategic thinker who is able to lead a team, develop and enhance their capabilities, develop strong working relationships and think outside of the box delivering an innovative approach to the Department.

·         Bachelor degree/ Higher education qualification equivalent in Hotel Management, culinary arts or related field

·          7 to 10 years’ management experience

·         Fluent in English (reading and writing); Arabic and French is a plus

·         Financial Acumen (Basic Math, budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages, and variances)
